The ELLMEX Championship is a Chicago-based professional wrestling championship owned by Empresa de Lucha Libre Mexicana (ELLMEX). It was introduced in 2014.
Current Champion
Bandolero is the current champion. He defeated Rey Fuego on July 21, 2019 in Arena GALLI, Villa Park, Illinois to win the title.
History of Championship
The Empresa de Lucha Libre Mexicana (ELLMEX) began a tournament at finals 2013 in order to crown the inaugural champion for the promotion. Imagen Nocturna qualified for the finals by winning an eliminatory in Los Angeles, California, while Príncipe Águila, and Príncipe Franky qualified by winning the one in Dallas, Texas. The final participant who qualified was the local Imperio Azteca by winning the eliminatory held in Chicago, Illinois.
