The first Tigre de Bengala debuted under the name of Bengala III, as the partner of Bengala I. Some fans confused him with Bengala II (Gaston del Valle), who had passed away on the September 19, 1985 due to the great earthquake. Tigre de Bengala I lost the title AWWA Middle Title in Juarez with Ari Romero, so he clearly was not the one who passed away.
