The PDM Light Heavyweight Championship is a professional wrestling championship owned by Producciones Perros del Mal. It's also defended at Xtreme Mexican Wrestling events due to an interpromotional working relationship between the promotions.
Current Champion
Pentagón Jr. is the current champion. He defeated Fénix & Tigre del Ring on July 17, 2016 at Espacio Discotheque - Norcross, Georgia to win the title.
History of Championship
On May 29, 2014 was scheduled in Salón Rancho El Rosario of Coacalco a benefit show to disabled children, in which Mr. Leo was supposed would defend his PDM Light Heavyweight Title against Arez , Impulso, and Saruman. The day of the event, Mr. Leo came to the ring to announce he was unable to defend his title. Arez finally won the title over Impulso, Saruman, and Centvrión, who replaced the injured Mr. Leo.
On January 23, 2015, Caifán announced through Facebook he was no longer the PDM Light Heavyweight Champion. He declared Promociones Perros Del Mal striped him of the title as they did not sanction matches for the title outside PDM/XMW events. Caifán vacated the title and returned it to the promotion.
On March 13, 2016, Mucha Lucha Atlanta promotion held an event in the Supermercado El Tapatio out of Norcross, Georgia. Pentagón Jr. defeated Drago, Fénix, and Tigre del Ring to become the new champion. Originally was announced a match for the vacant title on March 5, 2016 between Aero Star, Fénix, Pentagón Jr., and Taurus. That match was postponed to a week later in Atlanta.
