On their January 9th, 2010 television show, CMLL announced a 16 team tournament featuring teams from the four top major lucha libre training regions (La Laguna, Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.) Many, but not all teams, would also be parajes increible teams of one rudo and one tecnico.

Nuevo Laredo

- Mr. Niebla & Maximo
- Místico & Averno
- Hijo del Fantasma & Mephisto
- Negro Casas & La Mascara
- Ray Mendoza Jr. & Brazo de Plata
- Rey Bucanero & Valiente
- Sangre Azteca & Felino
The tournament will place on the January 22, January 29, and February 5 shows.
