After Ricardo retired, it is known that two other wrestlers assumed the name and mask. One of them lost the mask in a match and it is unknown what happened with the other. As of 2020, no sons or family member of Carta Brava II assumed or used his name and persona after his retirement and death. According to Carta Brava II before his death, Carta Brava I - Marco Antonio Garcia, was never known to have a son or male family member who assumed his name and persona. It is suspected that the current Carta Brava Jr AAA and the other Carta Brava Jr are either sons of one of the wrestlers who assumed Carta Brava II's name and persona after he retired or simply have just assumed the name since both original wrestlers had passed away.
