After a short & uneventful career, he called it quits in late 2010/early 2011. His father, Rey Misterio spent little time before replacing him with a new Hijo de Rey Misterio. Returned as the original Hijo in late 2011 as a rudo and feuded with his replacement, with the tease of a name vs name battle. The feud seems to be dropped. Hijo returned to his role as a clone of his older cousin by redubbing himself "Nuevo" Rey Misterio Jr., with the Nuevo part noted as silently as possible.
