An eight person tournament which took place over three weeks. All matches took place at [[Arena Coliseo Guadalajara]]. The tournament was seeded by battle royal. [[Conde Negro]], [[El Cora]], [[Fantasma Negro]], and [[Pancho Ramirez]] were announced for the tournament and don't appear in the semi-finals, so they were either eliminated in the first round or replaced.

The winner is not obvious from the lineups - no one defends this title before the next title tournament to decide it. Lucha Libre 285 congratulates Rolando Costa for defeating Luis Gonzalez.
